I’ve been obsessed with film for as long as I can remember. As a kid, growing up on Hong Kong, French and American Cinema, I was constantly making short films, jumping in front of the camera, and figuring out how to tell a good story. That passion for creating visually powerful stories that both entertain and move audiences never left – it just grew.
Since then, I’ve had the chance to act alongside the likes of Chris Hemsworth, Stephen Graham, and Peter Stormare, direct various short form work, and to develop and co-direct projects with one of my closest friends and collaborators, Andrew Koji (Warrior / Bullet Train). Right now, as I spin more plates than a caffeine-fuelled circus clown, I’m gearing up to direct my 80’s-set action, comedy feature, ‘7 GUNS’
Along the way, I co-founded Ki Films as a platform to produce and champion distinctive, creatively driven projects across film and TV. Ki has gone on to produce multi award-winning short films and music videos for artists like Agnetha Fältskog (ABBA), Mick Hucknall, and Karen Mok. Over the years I’ve been fortunate to have my work catch a few eyes – Empire film magazine asked “Is this the next Scorsese?” and the LA Film Awards named me ‘One of the Top 30 Filmmakers to Follow’.
Having optioned several feature scripts, I’m currently working with Mad As Birds, Picnik Entertainment and Storyoscopic Films. Alongside this, I have a slate of film and TV projects in various stages of development.
